Sandeep Marwah Inaugurates ‘Above the Firmaments’ Painting Exhibition at Triveni Kala Sangam
New Delhi, August 16, 2026: Renowned media personality, educationist and cultural promoter Dr. Sandeep Marwah inaugurated the exhibition of paintings titled “Above the Firmaments” by acclaimed artist Tanya Khurana at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi. The exhibition has been curated by Iqbal Krishna and designed by Ankit Nagpal.
Inaugurating the exhibition, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “Art is a powerful language that transcends boundaries and connects the human spirit. A painting is not merely an arrangement of colours and forms; it is an expression of thoughts, emotions, experiences and the artist’s perception of the world. Exhibitions like ‘Above the Firmaments’ provide artists an important platform to communicate with society and inspire new perspectives.”
He appreciated Tanya Khurana for presenting her artistic vision through the exhibition and congratulated curator Iqbal Krishna and designer Ankit Nagpal for creating a meaningful platform for contemporary artistic expression.
Tanya Khurana, speaking about her paintings, shared her artistic journey and explained the thoughts, emotions and inspirations behind the works displayed in the exhibition. She said that her paintings are an attempt to explore the relationship between the visible and the unseen, and to translate her observations and inner experiences into colour, form and visual expression.
The inauguration was attended by several distinguished personalities from the fields of art, culture, politics, theatre and public life, including Padma Shri awardee and senior artist Biman Das; artist Tirthankar Biswas; former BJP General Secretary Sanjay Vinayak Joshi; MLA from Shirdi B. R. Wakchaure; motivational speaker Inderpal Singh; Director of Modern Art Gallery Sanjeev Kishore Gautam; and theatre artist Sunit Tondon.
The gathering celebrated the spirit of Indian art and provided an engaging platform for artists, art lovers and cultural personalities to come together and appreciate contemporary artistic expression.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah also the President of AAFT School of Fine Arts, has consistently supported the arts and cultural community through various initiatives, promoting artists and creating platforms for creative exchange at the national and international level.
