Noida, August 16, 2026: The Rotary E Club of Winter Haven, in association with Radio Noida 107.4 FM, MSTV and AAFT School of Music, celebrated World Steelpan Day at Marwah Studios, Noida, highlighting the rich musical heritage, creativity and cultural significance of the steelpan.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT and Marwah Studios, said, “Music is one of the strongest bridges connecting nations, communities and cultures. The celebration of World Steelpan Day at Marwah Studios is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the beauty of this unique musical instrument and to promote greater understanding of the cultural traditions associated with it. AAFT is committed to providing young musicians with opportunities to learn, perform and connect with the global music community.”

He further emphasised that cultural celebrations create opportunities for international friendship and strengthen the bonds of love, peace and unity through art and culture.

Representatives of the Rotary E Club of Winter Haven appreciated the collaboration with Radio Noida, MSTV and AAFT and said that World Steelpan Day is an important occasion to celebrate the history, artistry and global influence of the steelpan. They highlighted the role of music in bringing people together and expressed their happiness at joining hands with Indian institutions for this special celebration.

The AAFT School of Music presented the artistic and educational perspective of the celebration, giving students and music enthusiasts an opportunity to learn more about the steelpan and its contribution to world music. The programme concluded with a message of friendship and cultural exchange between India and the international Rotary community, reaffirming the shared belief that music can unite people across borders and cultures.
