To start the program of the second day of 8^th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 at Marwah Studios.

Such as “Radio is a powerful medium for celebrating humanity in all its diversity and constitutes a platform for democratic discourse. At the global level, radio remains the most widely consumed medium.” Said Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI introducing the program to the large audience.

“This unique ability to reach out the widest audience means radio can shape a society’s experience of diversity. Stand as an arena for all voices to speak out, be represented and heard.” said Narender Gupta Senior Journalist from Mumbai.

“Radio stations should serve diverse such as communities, offering a wide variety of programs. Viewpoints and content, and reflect the diversity of audiences in their organizations and operations.”  Added Paresh Rughani International Motivational Speaker from London.

“Radio is a low-cost medium specifically suited to reaching remote communities and vulnerable people. Offering a platform to intervene in the “public debate, irrespective of people’s educational level. It also plays a crucial role in emergency communication and disaster relief.” Expressed Dr. Markandey Rai, Chancellor, Indira Gandhi Technical University.

The World Radio Day

“Radio is uniquely positioned to bring communities together and foster positive dialogue for change. By listening to its audiences and responding to their needs, radio services provide the diversity of views and voices needed to address the challenges we all face.” Said Dr. Mohamed Shoukr Nada, such as  Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of Egypt. World Radio Day Celebrated.

“The objectives of the Day are to raise greater awareness among the public and the media of the importance of radio.” Added Ranjan Mukherjee, Senior Journalist.

That such as “Radio brings people together. In an era of rapid media evolution. That such as radio retains a special place in every community as an accessible source of vital news and information.” Said H E Paulias Korni, High Commissioner of Papua New Guinea.

“The World Radio Day this year moves around the theme of “Radio and diversity.” UNESCO and UN calls on radio stations to uphold diversity, both in their newsroom and on the airwaves.” Reminded H.E. Nejemeddine Lakhal, Ambassador of Tunisia to India.

Later a poster was released to mark respect to the Radio Day. Which falls on 13^thFebruary, by the dignities. Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented life membership of IJC- International Journalism Centre to the guests along with the memento of the festival.

Noida: A Memorandum of Association was signed between Sandeep Marwah President International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and H.E Nejmeddine Lakhal Ambassador Republic of Tunisia to India to develop and promote films, television media ,art and culture.

“We are pleased to sign an arrangement with ICMEI and its associates for the development and promotion of arts and culture between two countries. We want to bring people of two countries close to each other through art and culture,” said H.E Nejmeddine Lakhal Ambassador Republic of Tunisia to India.

“It is a lucky day –World Radio Day and India and Tunisia through ICMEI and Embassy of Tunisia have decided to work on different subjects together bring both the countries close to each other through films, media, art and culture,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI.

A scholarship has been announced for the deserving student from Tunisia to study at Asian Academy of Film And Television, a festival of films from Tunisia, A cultural show has also been announced. Soon ICMEI will start working on the joint venture of animated film also.

Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry has joined hands with forth coming cultural extravaganza Jashn e Hind celebrating the Indian ethos to be held at Indira Gandhi National Centre For Arts New Delhi designed by Dr. Mridula Tandon of Sakshi.

“We will be presenting Indian stars including Piyush Mishra, Birju Maharaj, Ashok Chakradhar, Raja Reddy, Radha Reddy, Shovana Narayan, Penaz Masani, Shakeel Ahmed, Ranjana Gauhar, Geeta Chandran, Madhup Mudgal and Ahmed Hussain Mohammed Hussain on these three days,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI.

“We are also happy that giants like Sabri Brothers Qawwal, Hamsar Hayat Qawwal, Smita Bellur, Shamsur Rahman Faruqi, Shamim Hanfi, Chitra Mudgal, Laxmi Shanker Bajpai, Pratap Somvanshi, Aleena Itrat, Dipti Mishra and Kunwar Bechain have given their consent to be part of the festival,” added Dr. Marwah.

“The festival will emphasize on Dance Recitals, Music Recitals including Ghazals, Sufi, Qawali, Guftagu, Braj Ki Holi, Shayri, Kavita Path, Geet, Mushaira, and different food stalls on all these days,” said Dr. Mridula Tandon President of the show.

Marwah Studios and AAFT School of Performing Arts will support the festival. Large number of social, cultural and art organizations have been asked to take the best advantage of this massive flow of knowledge and entertainment.

Noida: International Journalism centre remembered   the great leader of the Nation Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel popularly known as Iron Man of India on 12^th February- The International Day of Journalism during 8^th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 at Marwah Studios.

“It is the prime responsibility of every citizen to feel that his country is free and to defend its freedom is his duty. My only desire is that India should be a good producer and no one should be hungry, shedding tears for food in the country. Manpower without Unity is not a strength unless it is harmonized and united properly, then it becomes a spiritual power” Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of IJC repeated the words of   Sardar Patel and created a wonderful environment to think for the country.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India The most historic and commendable achievement of Vallabhbhai was the integration of Five hundred sixty two princely states under the Indian union. Dr. Sanjay Singh Baghel Media Expert, Delhi University shared some sensitive cases from history and ask journalists to be alert and aware of their circumstances and be vigilant about their surroundings.

Renzu Shah writer, social worker and Commissioner Scouts/guides Jammu and Kashmir spoke the real position of journalism in Kashmir. Dr. Poonam Arora, Professor from Grinnel College, USA explained the ways of journalism and journalist security of USA.

Paresh Rughani, International Motivational Speaker from United Kingdom talked about journalism in England. Anoop Bose filmmaker & Senior Lawyer Supreme Court compared the current situation to the past positions in India.

Dr. Leila Mostofi, Founder Samt VMC, Iran spoke about the dying position of journalist in Iran. Anca Verma, Businesswoman Philanthropist from Romania explained indo Romanian comparison.

Richard Turner Historian & Professor from Michigan University USA gave a bird eye view of journalism in USA. Vijai Trivedi, Sr. Journalist, NDTV, Rajesh Badal, Senior Journalist, RSTV shared their own vast experiences with case studies.

Noida: Not very long ago International Journalism Centre with its vast membership all over the World decided to celebrate 12^th February as the International Day of Journalism as there was no day marked earlier for one of the oldest profession of the World informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre.

“We all are gathered here to celebrate and to give respect to our own decision to commemorate 12^th February as the International Day of Journalism. To take this idea further we have been doing a grand show of journalism on the same date of 12^th Feb. every year under the name and banner of Global Festival of Journalism, and today this is our 8^th edition,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah at the inaugural function addressing huge audience from all over India and abroad.

Komal Nahta, Film Critic & Journalist from Mumbai, Narayanan Madhavan, renowned Journalist & Writer, Mophethe Sekamane Councellor Kingdom of Lesotho., Ashok Tandon Member Prasar Bharti., Tirath Singh Rawat Member of Parliament, H.E. K L Ganju Honorary Consul General & Advisor to the Foreign Minister Consulate of Union of Comoros , H.E. Mr. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye High Commissioner of Republic of Ghana were present there to launch the poster of the day.

H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre Ambassador of Romania to India, HE Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina to India, H.E. Carlos Polo Ambassador of Peru to India and H.E. Dr. Marjan Cencen, Ambassador of Slovenia to India were the part of the event who all congratulated Dr. Sandeep Marwah for declaring a historical day for the World Calendar.

Noida: One Hundred Photographers from all over India participated in the grand photography exhibition titled “AN EYE’ planned during 8^th Global Festival of Journalism at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

“It is the custom at Marwah Studios to have an exhibition in every major festival. This time one Hundred photographers from AAFT School of Photography submitted their best work for the exhibition. It was difficult for the department to choose pictures for the show as all of them were very exclusive,” introduced the exhibition by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre, ICMEI and AAFT at the inauguration of 8^th Global Festival.

“What a collection! I am sure no picture could have been rejected,” encouraged by H.E. Muhamed Cengic an international photographer and Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina to India while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

“I can see the variety of work, portraits, animals, historical monuments, public, flowers this shows the depth of knowledge of the photographers and their varied interests,” motivated H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre, Ambassador of Romania to India

“Taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is, Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving,” said H.E. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye, High Commissioner Republic of Ghana

“Photography is more than just a skill or talent; it’s a passion that needs constant fulfillment,” said HE Carlos Polo, Ambassador of Peru to India

“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce,” added Ashok Tandon, Member, Prasar Bharti.

Noida: The most exclusive festival, first of its kind in Asia and second in the World saw the grand opening of its 8^th edition at Noida Film City hosted by Marwah Studios.

The colorful flags of different nations were quite inviting and speaking about the international presence at the festival. In total 56 countries have been part of this festival where as delegates from all the 28 states and 9 union territories were present in the festival.

“ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry-and International Journalism Centre together with AAFT University have designed this festival to mark respect to the decision of having International Day of Journalism on 12^th February which was declared nine years back by our association,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Global Festival of Journalism.

“Media creates perception, time has come when all mediums of media keep in mind the unity and integrity of the nation should not be at stake when they write or speak and show any coverage. Country is definitely bigger than profession,” said Tirath Singh Rawat Member Parliament Lok Sabha and Secretary BJP.

“I appreciate the bye line   given to this festival-Love Peace And Unity Through Art And Culture. Positive journalism can bring new ife to the relations,” said H.E. Dr. Marjan Cencen, Ambassador of Slovenia to India.

“Do your research well before you write a piece for press. Your deep research can bring correct information to the reader. People still believe blindly   what all has been printed or shown on television. You have a great responsibility towards reader and viewer,” said H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre, one time journalist and now Ambassador of Romania to India.

“A media person must aware of his duties and responsibilities. More than that he should also be attentive towards media laws. His coverage can provoke and can depress the masses. A balanced and researched news or article for any medium is always useful,” said H.E. Mr. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye, lawyer and High Commissioner Republic of Ghana to India.

“What a unique festival, never ever heard like this in any other country. Journalist should remember that mediums are for three major reasons Information, Education and Entertainment as per Press council of India.
