
International Film & Television Research Centre (IFTRC) is the first film and television research centre in the private sector in India. It is affiliated with Marwah Studios and Asian Academy of Film & TV located at Noida Film City.
“Mass Media is known to shape thought, change attitudes and move people to action. The potential of film for facilitating development or damaging the society is indeed enormous. The same can be said for power of television in shaping peoples lives” said Prof. Harshvardhan, Vice President of IFTRC.
“Communicating to the audience is a challenge. Communicator not only must know what to communicate but also how to communicate to be able to influence the audience who possess diverse character. The effective communicator cannot rely on hunches and intuition to capture and hold the attention of the mass-audience.” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios a Creative Enterprises “He has to interact with the audience to seek their input.” Marwah added.
International Film & television Research Centre (IFTRC) will address itself to this complex task of conducting research with the audience on programming and its effectiveness. It will encourage and popularize the concept of mass media and will train media researchers to aid better TV programming and film making.
IFTRC is working with aims like :advancement of Film and Television productions, raising of professional standards of film making and television production, creating awareness about responsive and responsible film and TV production, continuing review of professional codes and ethics set by the professional and regulatory bodies for film-makers and television training, arranging scholarships, awards, facilitating attachment to film and television production houses for the purpose of research, conducting short term and long term training courses on media research, organizing debates, seminars, symposia and workshop on various subjects relating to film and television, publishing papers, reports and books relating to research on film & television and launching a journal of Media research.
ASFT Asian Society of Film and Television comprising of Asian Education Group of Marwah Studios- A Creative Enterprises has decided to celebrate 100 years of Cinema with great pomp and show at its campus at Noida Film City.
The 100 years commemoration of Cinema is also coinciding with the 21 years of Marwah Studios and 25 years of its inception at Noida film city informed Sandeep Marwah the founder of Noida film city and Marwah Studios.
The 75th batch of AAFT Asian Academy Of Film And Television, 9th Batch of ASMS Asian School Of Media Studies, 9th Batch of ABS Asian Business School and 2nd Batch of ASC Asian School Of Media Studies are part of the celebrations.
75th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films, 7th ASMS Festival of Short Films, 6th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema, 5th Global Film Festival Noida and Wecare Film Festivals are part of the carnival.
PHD Chamber of Commerce, Film Federation of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Human Resources Development and many other National & international organizations will participate in the events.
“India is the largest film producing country in the World and now Indian Cinema is popular all over the World, known for its song, dances and emotional dramas” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah studios and member of Film Federation of India at Australian High Commission Delhi in a get together of film makers in honor of award winning Australian documentary film makers.
“We are also proud that Australian film makers have done extremely well in Hollywood and those big names are Hugh Jackman, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Mel Gibson, Nicole Kidman and Oscar winning actor Russell Crowe” informed Bernard Philip Acting High Commissioner of Australia in India.
We must plan in such a manner that India and Australia should work in entertainment industry hand In hand and should create a name for ourselves, both Marwah and Philip came to the conclusion.
‘Now 19 years in existence, the Indian Sports And Cultural Society (ISCS) has become pro active and opening 28 chapters in all the states of India to promote sports” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of ISCS at PHD Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of International Youth Day.
A poster stating “No Youth Without Sports” was released by Rajeev Gupta Secretary Youth Affairs, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs , Government of India to support the activities of PHD And ISCS. “ We are ready to give all support to such societies who are keen in developing youth and guiding them to the right path” Rajeev Gupta blessed the organization.
Suman Jyoti Khaitan President PHD initiated the talks. Cricketer Saba Karim, former Captain of Indian Women Team Anjum Chopra, Satish Girotra Chairperson Sports Committee, Alok B Sriram Vice President PHD and B.C. Bose General Secretary ISCS also spoke on the occasion.
AAFT-Asian Academy of Film And Television the pioneer film, Tv and fashion institute joins hands with Indian Federation for Fashion Development informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios also on the board of IFFD.
The film and fashion school of AAFT will be participating in full swing in the forth coming event “The Runway Week” of the federation from 29th August to 1st Sept. 2013 at New Delhi. The students of fashion and Cinema will manage the day to day affairs of the show.
AAFT will be making a documentary on “preparing The Runway Week” and shall cover all the 20 events of this mega international show. The complete team of technicians, camera persons, director and other staff will get involved in the show.
“It will be a unique documentary which will express the hard work involved in making a grand show” said Sandeep Marwah. AAFT is a family of 12000 media professionals spread out in 92 countries of the World.
The members of the International Journalism Centre (ijc) will have their camp for three days at 4th Anime Convention designed to high light the need of graphics & animation in today’s age.
“Not only that animation films entertain you, it is now being used in every department to upgrade and emphasis the different projects” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.
International Journalism Centre has invited all its members to come forward to understand the need of animation in journalistic activities. International Journalism Centre will cover the event for national and foreign market.
