International Film And Television Club {IFTC} a wing of Marwah Studios- a creative enterprises organized 2nd Global Festival Of Documentary Films from 20th to 22nd November 2009. This three days festival showcased some of the most outstanding, critically acclaimed and awarded films across the World. The list of films included THE GARDEN directed by Scott Hamilton Kennedy, SUPER MAN OF MALEGAON directed by Ahmed Khan, WE ARE TOGETHER directed by Paul Taylor, FOR LOVE OF WATER directed by Irena Salina, MORALITY TV AUR LOVING JIHAD-EK MANOHAR KAHANI directed by Paromita Vohra, SMILE PINKY directed by Megan Mylan, WORK IN PROGRESS directed by Krishnendu Bose, ANDHERI directed by Sushrut Jain, TEXTURE OF OUR SOUL directed by Deepak Gera, FLOATING LAMP OF THE SHADOW VALLEY directed by Rajesh S.Jala, BEGINNING FILMMAKING directed by Rosenblatt, THE FORGOTTEN WOMAN directed by Dilip Mehta, HARISHCHANDRACHI FACTOR directed by Paresh Mokashi and ROUGH AUNTIES directed by Kim Longinotto. The second segment was for short films. More than 90 films have been received from 27 countries in the competition. Three best films have been awarded with Rs 50000/- prize.”We had footfall of more than 3000 people in three days which has not only made the event successful but encouraged us to start preparing for the festval for 2010.” said Sandeep Marwah, Festival President.”I am thankful to my all teams of AAFT,ASMS,ABS and AAFT School of Graphics and Animation for their sincere efforts.” added Marwah.

The world record holder of Income Tax Books R N Lakhotia released the first copy of a motivational book “BELIEF” written by Tariq Marghoob from the platform of AAFT Asian Academy Of Film And Television.” Believe in your self and believe in God ,together it makes belief, be honest to yourself. ”said R .N. Lakhotia to the audience present in the auditorium of Marwah Studios. Giving many examples from his own life Lakhotia won the hearts of all.

“My purpose of writing book is to pass on the fresh energy to youngster who all should be motivated to hard and honest work” said Tariq Marghoob, the writer of book “Belief”.
“I am always ready to get associated with works which ends up motivating youngster and lead them to build better India” added Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios.

On the same occasion a new issue of quarterly magazine Nature and Wealth edited by Kamal Bhatia was also released by Dr. Sanjeev Wadhawan CEO of Biolife Care Remedies Pvt. Limited. 39th batch of trainees commenced from 3rd April 2003. Registrations over‚ the batch was immediately addressed by all the faculty members of the Academy. A lively entertainment program followed next by the afternoon. The show was organized by the renowned management professional; T S Bedi‚ who is shaping out to be a popular singer of Northern India. an octopad and a tabla enjoyed their performance as much as all the foot tapping members of the audience‚ clapping to each singular performance of bhajan‚ old melodies from the Hindi movies and some classics from the old Punjabi folklore. The function was well attended by most of the prominent citizens of Noida. Chief guest of the function was the Chairman of the All India Anti Terrorist Front‚ Sardar M S Bitta‚ who later presented the Academy awards to the renowned architect of India‚ Arun Varmani and to the senior journalist from the Hindi national daily‚ Dainik Jagran‚ Mohammed Azad. Addressing the audience chief guest M S Bitta emphasised on the role of that the Media had to play especially in a large country like India‚ where a majority of its illiterate populace tended to believe whatever media would project to them. Varmani who had been instrumental in designing the first phase of the Marwah Studio turned nostalgic of his memories from the second half of the eighties recalling the efforts put in by Prof. Sandeep Marwah in designing the whole film city during that period. Mohammed Azad is a very popular and a veteran journalist from the Hindi media in Noida. Speaking on the occasion‚ Azad gave all the credit to Prof. Sandeep Marwah for bringing Noida to the international map of cine world.

Fourth Global Film Festival director Sandeep Marwah while inaugurating the second seminar on Literature and Cinema is of the opinion that any creativity is first accountable to the society and then to its patrons both financial and moral.
The seminar generated a lot of heat and humour when speaker after speaker locked horns on the controversial topic which ended on a cordial note.
Chairing the session the renowned South Indian film director Singitham S.Rao emphatically asked the filmmakers to commission the established writers to write specially for the cinema. He said depending on published classics and bestsellers generally create confusion and commotion.
Fellow director K.Hariharan was more candid when he said that the two are different media and there has to be paradigm shift when you move from writing to celluloid.
Noted poet and former principal of Moti lal Nehru College Divil ramesh said that the soul and spirit of the literary work shouldn’t be compromised and there has to be fine balance between the novel and the film.
