ICMEI Congratulates the Country of Cuba on Liberation Day

Noida, India – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the esteemed leadership of its President, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, extended heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Juan Carlos Marsain Aguilera, Ambassador of Cuba to India, and the people of Cuba on the occasion of their Liberation Day, celebrated on 1st January.

Dr. Marwah, an internationally recognized media and cultural personality, expressed his admiration for the enduring spirit of the Cuban people and their commitment to independence and progress. Speaking on behalf of ICMEI and the vibrant fraternity of art and culture in India, he conveyed his best wishes for the continued prosperity, peace, and cultural enrichment of Cuba.

“Cuba holds a significant place in the global cultural landscape,” Dr. Marwah remarked. “Its rich history, vibrant traditions, and contributions to art and literature are truly remarkable. On this auspicious day, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cultural exchange between India and Cuba.”

The Indo-Cuba Film and Cultural Forum (ICFCF), a vital initiative under ICMEI, has been instrumental in fostering this relationship. Over the years, the forum has collaborated extensively with the Embassy of Cuba in India, organizing a wide array of cultural events aimed at celebrating and promoting the shared heritage of the two nations.

Dr. Marwah acknowledged the pivotal role of cultural forums in bridging gaps between nations, stating, “Culture is the essence of humanity, and platforms like the Indo-Cuba Film and Cultural Forum serve as powerful tools to nurture mutual understanding, collaboration, and friendship.” As a testament to this enduring partnership, ICMEI plans to expand its collaborative ventures with Cuba, including workshops, film screenings, art exhibitions, and educational programs aimed at deepening cultural ties and creating opportunities for cross-cultural learning.

ICMEI also expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Cuba for its unwavering support and active participation in all cultural endeavors. Dr. Marwah extended a special note of appreciation to Ambassador H.E. Juan Carlos Marsain Aguilera for his dedication to promoting Cuban culture and strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations. Sandeep Marwah also informed that 3rd January has been declared by ICMEI as the International Day of Cultural Relations.
