ICMEI and AAFT Offer Scholarship to Strengthen Indo-Ecuador Relations Through Cultural Diplomacy. Noida, 24th June 2025: In a significant step toward strengthening educational and cultural ties between India and Ecuador. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Chancellor of AAFT University. presented a prestigious AAFT Short-Term Course Scholarship to His Excellency Mr. Fernando Xavier Bucheli Vargas. Ambassador of Ecuador to India. The scholarship designated for a deserving student from Ecuador to pursue specialized education in media and arts. At the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), one of the world’s leading creative institutions.
The gesture was made under the banner of the Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum. An initiative of ICMEI aimed at promoting bilateral relations through such as art, culture, cinema, and education.
“It is our honor to support young talent from Ecuador. This scholarship is not just an educational opportunity but a symbol of friendship between our two nations. We believe cultural and academic exchanges pave the way for long-lasting global partnerships,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, a renowned media personality and the founder of Noida Film City.
Ambassador Fernando Xavier Bucheli Vargas expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the gesture, stating. “This initiative by ICMEI and AAFT is deeply valued. It reflects India’s goodwill and openness to global cooperation in education and culture. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and deepening the bond between Ecuador and India.”
The Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum, since its inception, has actively engaged in organizing cultural events, film screenings, and academic initiatives aimed at promoting Ecuadorian culture in India and vice versa. The scholarship announcement is yet another milestone in its mission to bring the two countries closer through creative diplomacy.
