Sandeep Marwah Nominated as Chair for Indo Benin Film and Cultural Forum. New Delhi: A new chapter in India–Benin relations was written with the creation of the Indo Benin Film and Cultural Forum, initiated by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in association with the Embassy of Benin in India. The launch took place at a distinguished ceremony hosted at the Embassy of Benin in New Delhi.

In a significant gesture to foster cultural diplomacy, H.E. Erick Jean Marie Zinsou, Ambassador of Benin to India, nominated Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, as the Chair of the Indo Benin Film and Cultural Forum.

Accepting the honor, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “The power of art and culture goes beyond borders. With this forum, we aspire to bring India and Benin closer, creating new avenues for film, cultural exchange, and creative partnerships. This is the beginning of a meaningful journey of friendship and collaboration.”

On this occasion, H.E. Erick Jean Marie Zinsou remarked, “The Indo Benin Film and Cultural Forum will serve as a dynamic platform to strengthen the people-to-people ties between our nations. I am confident that under the leadership of Dr. Marwah, this initiative will set new milestones in cultural diplomacy.”

The event also witnessed the presentation of Patronship of ICMEI to Ambassador Zinsou by Dr. Marwah, symbolizing mutual commitment to promote art and culture as strong vehicles of bilateral relations.

The Indo Benin Film and Cultural Forum will soon announce a series of initiatives including film festivals, cultural programs, academic exchanges, and artistic collaborations aimed at bringing the vibrant cultures of India and Benin closer together.
