AAFT Presents Prestigious Distinction to H.E. Fernando Bucheli at Bharat Mandapam. New Delhi, August 18, 2026: In a distinguished celebration of international diplomacy, education, and cultural cooperation. H.E. Fernando Bucheli, Ambassador of Ecuador to India, was conferred. An Honorary Post Graduate Diploma in International Diplomacy by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University, during the inaugural session of the AAFT New Batch 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The prestigious honour presented before a large gathering of students, faculty members, diplomats, media professionals, and distinguished guests, recognising H.E. Fernando Bucheli’s valuable contribution to strengthening India–Ecuador relations, particularly through diplomacy, cultural exchange, education, media, and people-to-people connectivity.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, who also serves as Chair of the Indo-Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum. Said that diplomacy in the modern world extends far beyond government-to-government relations and must embrace. Such as culture, cinema, education, communication, creativity, and human connections.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Marwah said, “India and Ecuador separated by geography but united by the universal language of culture, creativity and human values. Cinema and education have the extraordinary power to bring nations closer. This distinction is a tribute to H.E. Fernando Bucheli for his commitment to strengthening the bonds between the two nations and for promoting greater understanding and friendship between their people.”

H.E. Fernando Bucheli, while accepting the distinction, expressed his deep appreciation to AAFT and Dr. Sandeep Marwah for the honour. He said, “This recognition is not only a personal honour but also a celebration of the growing friendship between Ecuador and India. Education, culture and cinema provide us with powerful platforms to understand each other and build lasting relationships between our nations.”

The Ambassador appreciated the international character of AAFT and its ability to bring together young people from different countries through media, education, art, and culture. He encouraged the students to develop a global outlook and become ambassadors of friendship and cooperation in their respective fields.

The ceremony assumed special significance as the AAFT New Session 2026 brought together a vibrant gathering of aspiring professionals from across the creative and media disciplines. The presence of an eminent diplomat from Ecuador added a strong dimension of international engagement to the academic inauguration.

The Indo-Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum, under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, has been envisioned. Such as an important platform for strengthening bilateral relations through films, television, literature, art, music, education, tourism, and cultural exchange.
