APANESE FILM DIRECTOR IN NOIDA FILM CITY.

Renowned Japanese animator Yasuhiro Imagawa was recently in Noida Film City to interact with the students of Asian School of Media Studies and Asian Academy of Film & TV. He was invited by Japan Cultural and Information centre to visit prominent cultural centres and academic institution in India. Tracing the sixty year long history of Japanese animation Yasuhiro Imagawa made an interesting presentation on somewhat conflicting requirements of TV advertising and animation products. He screened a number of his films to drive home several aspects of this fine art. Complementing the team headed by Prof. Sandeep Marwah on establishing excellent media schools, Yasuhiro Imagawa suggested that the students should be made to watch and analyze the film of Japanese film director Ozu to understand cinema and how to the medium of films could be used to tell a story or convey a message. He was accompanied by director of Japan Cultural and Information Centre Minoru Kikuchi, minister counsellor Embassy of Japan Motokatsu Watanabe and manager Asia Operation Ruchi Naithani.
