Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli – February 08, 2025: The second edition of the One World One Family Cup (OWOF Cup), a unique cricketing event uniting sports and humanitarian service, concluded successfully at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli. Spearheaded by Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission (SMSGHM) under the guidance of Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, the event saw retired cricketing legends come together to support the noble cause of Nutrition, Health, and Education for All.
The much-anticipated match witnessed cricketing greats from India and Sri Lanka, including Venkatesh Prasad, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Marvan Atapattu, Aravinda De Silva, Muthiah Muralitharan, Arjuna Ranatunga, and Chaminda Vaas, among others, competing with great fervor.

Under the leadership of Venkatesh Prasad, One World (India) secured a thrilling six-run victory over One Family (Sri Lanka). However, in the spirit of OWOF, the match had no losers—only winners united by the love for cricket and a commitment to global welfare.

Adding to the excitement, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai announced the launch of the Vishwanath-Gavaskar Cricket Academy for Boys at Sri Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli. This free-of-cost residential cricket academy, named in honor of legendary cricketers, will select students purely on merit, ensuring that deserving young talents receive professional training without financial constraints.

New Delhi, February 6, 2025: The 1st India-Arab Universities’ Presidents’ Conference was successfully organized at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi, from February 5-6, 2025. The conference was held under the education vertical of the Executive Program for the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation between India and the League of Arab States (LAS).
The prestigious event was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh, who delivered the keynote address. The conference witnessed the participation of esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Mazin Almasaoudi, Head of Mission, League of Arab States Mission, who played a crucial role in the discussions. He also announced the formation of a new entity, the Indo-Arab League Chamber of Commerce, aimed at fostering stronger educational and economic ties between India and the Arab world.
From the Arab side, the conference was led by Libya’s Minister of Education, Imran Muhamed Al-Qeeb, who delivered a special address, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in higher education and research between Indian and Arab universities.
The conference was co-organized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), in association with the University Grants Commission (UGC), which acted as the knowledge partner, and the League of Arab States (LAS) as the co-organizer. The event brought together university presidents, academicians, and policy-makers from both regions to discuss avenues of cooperation and the future of education.
Following the inaugural session, Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman, UGC, delivered the welcome remarks, setting the stage for an engaging dialogue on education and research partnerships. Other notable speakers included Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, and Farraj Aljmi, Director of Education and Scientific Research of LAS.
A significant highlight of the event was the announcement by Dr. Mazin Almasaoudi regarding the nomination of Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios, ,not only as the member of managing committee but also as the Chair for Media and Entertainment and Education Committee of the Indo-Arab League Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Marwah attended the conference and engaged in discussions with key ministers and stakeholders.
