The second day of Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 was dedicated to the World Radio Day and was celebrated with great pomp and show at Marwah Studios Noida Film City. Radio Noida 107.4FM acted as the host to more than 600 delegates from all over the World including media professionals and students. Senior Media persons including Pragyan Bhattacharya Media Consultant, Rajeev Ranjan Nag of Press Council of India, N.K.Singh of Broadcasters Association of India, R.Shreedharan of Community Radio Association, Dr. Madhukar Gangadhar former Additional Director General All India Radio and R.K.Singh Former Engineer In Chief All India Radio spoke on the occasion.
“This is for the first time that World Radio Day is being celebrated in India as declared by the United Nation only in 2011. We are the first one in India too” said Sandeep Marwah while releasing the Poster.
To do something different for the country, for the masses should be the definition of Journalism, genuineness should be the language and sincerity should be the presentation” said Dr. G.V.G. Krishnamurthy former Chief Election Commissioner of India who started his carrier as journalist many years back.
We have forgotten the authenticity of journalism, only good schools like Asian School of Media Studies can save the grace of real principles of journalism” said Lalit Bhasin Chairperson of the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal, Ministry of Information and Broad casting, Government of India.

Later Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of newly constituted International Journalism Centre to all the guests.
The first Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 has created a special corner for the short films including Electronic News Gathering on different subjects for the last 10 years. “ENGs is a very important part of journalism. It is news in visuals which has more powerful impact on audience than the news in print” explained Sandeep Marwah the President of the Festival. A large collection of ENG programs is managed and special shows through out the three days will be screened from 12th to 14th of February. The formal inauguration will be on 12th on the International Day of Journalism as declared by the five times World Record Holder Sandeep Marwah
The first ever festival of journalism in Asia and second in the World has been very well received by the journalistic community all over the World. More than 60,000 media persons have been invited from all over the World to get involved with this unique and first festival of journalism in Asia. The Global Festival of Journalism 2013 has been conceived and designed by internationally renowned media person Sandeep Marwah who has also declared 12th February as the International Day of Journalism. International Film And Television Research Centre which is deeply into journalism research and especially electronic media has also joined hands with the Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013.

International Children’s Film Forum a body totally involved in the promotion of children’s Cinema and care of unprivileged children and also maintaining 10 different branches of Apna School in Noida has joined hands with Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013.
International Children’s Film Forum will bring all those issues on the table of festival which are concerned with the children and journalism. ICCF believes that journalists have to be very conscious while covering issues of children in print, radio, television or new media.
ICCF which is working hand in hand with Children’s Film Society of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India will bring in new input for discussion in the field of journalism.
“A 19 year old International Film And Television Club which has already given seven festivals to the Nation and especially to the entertainment industry now will work for the field of journalism” informed Ashok Tyagi Director Asian School of Media Studies. “Global Film Festival of Journalism Noida is the only festival in the country designed to promote activities of journalism at an international level for three days” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios. The festival will have segments of Documentary and Electronic News Gatherings, workshops, seminars, book releases, exhibitions etc. Entries from all over India and abroad have already stated pouring in.
International Public Broadcasting Forum, a renowned body to promote journalistic activities has decided to be partner with the first ever Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 planned for 12th to 14th February at Marwah Studios Film City Noida. “Some of the prominent names associated with International Public Broadcasting Forum have given their consent to be part of this historical movement when first ever Global Festival of Journalism in Asia will be celebrated in Noida” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival. “IPBF is going to bring a new look to the festival and highlight the duties of journalism” said Shahid Mehdi Vice President ICCR and Council member of IPBF. “We will leave no stone unturned to make this festival a successful one” said Nitin Saxena writer of Journalism Books and member IPBF.
The Newspaper Association of India a body of 7000 journalist from all parts of India join hands with the first ever Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 to be held on 12-14th February at Noida Film City the hub centre for journalistic activities in India. “We want to be the part this historical movement now started by the international media person Sandeep Marwah” said Vipin Gaur General Secretary of NAI. The Festival will project national and international issues related to journalism through workshops, seminars, symposiums, screenings, news – bulletin, round table discussions etc. “We have been pioneer in many fields, this time we are launching first ever journalism festival in Asia. We have declared 12th February as International Day of Journalism” Sandeep Marwah.

The seminar was attended by students and professionals from film, television, media and fashion fraternity.
“The style and presentation of News have changed from time to time keeping in mind the requirements of the audience” said Onkareswar Pandey renowned television journalist from Bhasker TV while conducting the workshop during 2nd Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2014. The idea was to relate and to inform young television journalists and media students with the latest method, techniques and ways of collecting, editing and presenting the news on channels. Answering the questions Onkareswar Pandey gave examples of number of different channels and foreign news on TV. The workshop finished with a note of thanks and presentation of life membership of International Journalism Centre to Pandey.
