Noida: The AAFT School of Interior Design hosted a stunning furniture exhibition during the 11th Global Festival of Journalism. The exhibition was a showcase of the talents and creativity of the school’s interior design students, who presented their innovative and unique furniture designs. The exhibition was a visual treat for visitors, featuring a range of contemporary and traditional furniture designs made from sustainable and eco-friendly materials. The exhibition provided an opportunity for the students to showcase their skills and knowledge, as well as to gain feedback and insights from industry professionals and visitors,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. The event also highlighted the growing importance of sustainable design in the furniture industry, and the need to incorporate sustainable practices into design education. “The students’ designs demonstrated the potential for creating beautiful, functional furniture that is also environmentally responsible,” expressed Overall, the furniture exhibition was a testament to the talent and creativity of the AAFT School of Interior Design students. It served as a platform for them to showcase their skills and promote sustainable design practices, and was a great success during the 11th Global Festival of Journalism. Ashraf Shikhaliyev Ambassador of Azerbaijan, Ramnath Rajesh Senior Journalist,  Prem Bhardwaj Renowned Author,  Mamta Soni, Writer, Avinash Raj  CEO  Mitwa TV, Kumar Mohan Renowned Film Journalist from Mumbai, and  Saeed Ansari  Editor & Anchor Aaj Tak were present there at the inauguration. The event was supported by Asian Unity Alliance, World Peace Development and Research Foundation, Prithvi Yoga Centre, and AAFT University.

Noida: Digital media has revolutionized the way people consume information and interact with the world. With the advent of social media platforms, news websites, and other online resources, digital media has become an integral part of people’s daily lives. However, its influence on people’s opinions and daily lives is a subject of much debate,” initiated Dr. Sandeep Marwah founder of Noida Film City and President Marwah Studios in a seminar titled How does Digital Media influence the opinion of people and their daily life, during 11^th Global Festival of Journalism Noida.

Digital media has the power to shape people’s opinions and beliefs through the content that they consume. Social media algorithms and news feeds are designed to provide users with content that matches their interests and preferences, which can create echo chambers that reinforce existing beliefs and opinions said Vipin Gaur Secretary  NAI-News Paper Association of India.

Moreover, digital media can have a profound impact on people’s daily lives, from the way they communicate with others to the way they consume entertainment and news. It has also changed the way businesses operate and market their products and services added Priyank Dubey well-known film maker.

“However, the influence of digital media is not always positive. The spread of misinformation and fake news can lead to harmful beliefs and actions, and the constant stimulation of social media can contribute to mental health issues such as Overall, while digital media has the power to shape people’s opinions and daily lives, it is important for individuals to approach it critically and to seek out diverse sources of information to avoid falling into echo chambers and misinformation,” condensed Dr. Ajay Kumar Executive Director AAFT Group of Education.

A new bulletin designed by the students of AAFT School of Mass Communication and Journalism was released from the stage. Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah Presented festival memento to all the dignitaries and  honoured with life membership of International Journalism Centre. The event was supported by International Film and Television Research Centre,  Asian Unity Alliance, Prithvi Yoga Centre, and World Peace Development and Research Foundation.

 

Noida: The documentary film “Legend of Kharibulbul” by professional Swedish photographer and filmmaker Mikael Silkeberg begged the Award of Distinction at 11^th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2023. The award was presented by Festival President Dr. Sandeep Marwah to Ambassador of Azerbaijan H.E.  Dr. Ashraf Shikhaliyev in a grand function after the screening of the film.

“Art and culture play a vital role in strengthening the ties between India and Azerbaijan. Both countries have a rich cultural heritage that can be shared and celebrated. Collaborations in fields such as music, dance, and cinema can deepen mutual understanding and promote people-to-people connections. Let us work towards building a strong cultural bridge between our nations,” spoke Dr. Sandeep Marwah at the event.

“India and Azerbaijan enjoy warm and friendly relations based on historical and cultural ties. Bilateral cooperation in areas such as energy, trade, and investment has strengthened our partnership. I am confident that our countries will continue to work closely to promote regional peace, stability, and prosperity through art and culture,” added Dr. Ashraf Shikhaliyev.

The documentary, shot on the initiative of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Sweden, with the support of the National Commission of Azerbaijan for UNESCO and Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture, features remarks by a number of well-known cultural and artistic figures about history of Karabakh and its crown – the city of Shusha, its music and literature, as well as historical figures. The shootings of the film also took place in Shusha.

 

Noida: Strengthening the cultural ties between India and Lesotho goes beyond diplomatic relations, as both nations embrace a rich exchange of traditions and artistic expressions. Thabang Linus Kholumo, Charge d’ Affairs at the High Commission of The Kingdom of Lesotho, illuminated the ceremonial lamp, inaugurating the screening of a captivating Lesotho documentary. The documentary, masterfully directed by Lehlohonolo Mayeza and produced by Matseliso Mohale of Mohale Media Productions, delves into the essence of the Basotho culture, unraveling the significance behind their traditional practices. The film traces its roots back to Moshoeshoe, the visionary founder of the Basotho Nation. During the event, Vidisha Baliyan, an accomplished AAFT alumna and Miss Deaf Universe, expressed her gratitude for the abundant opportunities that AAFT provides to students. She acknowledged how platforms like the Global Festival of Journalism have contributed significantly to her personal growth and success. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, in recognition of the outstanding Lesotho documentary “Basotho Culture,” conferred the esteemed Award of Distinction to Thabang Linus Kholumo. The award was accompanied by a festival memento, accepted on behalf of Matseliso Mohale. Mehak Zaidi, Assistant Professor at AAFT School of Mass Communication & Journalism, orchestrated the proceedings of the event, while the vote of thanks was extended by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Festival Director. The event garnered support from esteemed organizations including the Asian Unity Alliance, World Peace Development and Research Foundation, AAFT University, and the Indo Lesotho Film and Cultural Forum. As the documentary screening celebrated the rich cultural tapestry of Lesotho and India, it further solidified the bonds of friendship and understanding between these two nations.
