Himachal Pradesh State Level ‘Dev Bhomi Award’ was announced for the World Record Holder Sandeep Marwah for his indefatigable and untiring efforts for the promotion of film ,TV and Media activities in India and abroad and bringing Country of India to World fame.
Sandeep Marwah is the youngest director of a film school- Asian Academy Of Film And Television for a period of 19 years and has churned out 9000 media professionals hailing from 81 countries of the world. He has produced 1800 short films from his production company which is largest in the world. His film company is the only film organization to create a World record during 19th Commonwealth Games in India.
The awards were presented by Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court Hon’ble Justice Kurien Joseph. The award function was rescheduled owing to the busy schedule of Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal
Others who were presented the award includes Lt Gen K Surendra Nath VSM-CCO ATRAC Shimla, Dr. D.S.Manhas Director General Police H.P.State, Padamshree Vijay Kumar Chopra Editor Punjab Keseri, Padamshree G.P. Chopra President DAV CMC, Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya Jee Vice Chancellor J.R.H. University Chitrakoot.
The list also includes Dr. O.P.Sharma Director Higher Education H.P.State, Dr. Nagin Nanda Director Environment H.P.State, Dr. Arun Sharma Director H.P. Tourism, Dr. Om Gauri Dutt Sharma, Director Doordarshan Shimla, J.S.Rana Director Udyog H.P.State, B.M.Nanta DC Kullu, Onkar Singh DC Shimla, A.N.Sharma Commissioner Nagar Nigam Shimla, Jai Prakash Gaur of Jaypee Associated Limited, and others.
