Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrate of Mexico was conferred upon a honoris causa Diploma in TV Journalism and Communication at Marwah Studios in Film City Noida before a packed international press and celebrities from the entertainment and academia. The honour was bestowed upon her by His Excellency Sandeep Marwah, world record holder in entertainment industry, former vice-chancellor, Ambassador of Wales in India and Director General of Asian Education Group.
Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) has produced over 10,000 creative mass communicators on different realms of visual media from 80 odd countries across the globe in last two decade since its inception.
Internationally renowned fashion designer Sanjana Jon who accompanied Miss Universe on national tour to promote and propagate social causes was also awarded an honoris causa diploma in Media Management from AAFT.
