ICMEI and Rotary E Club of Winter Haven Observe World Humanitarian Day at Marwah Studios Noida. The International Chamber of Media & Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and the Rotary E Club of Winter Haven. With the support of the World Peace Development and Research Foundation (WPDRF), observed World Humanitarian Day at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida, reaffirming their commitment to humanity, compassion, peace and service to society.
The programme highlighted the courage and dedication of humanitarian workers across the world. Who work tirelessly in difficult and challenging circumstances to protect lives, support vulnerable communities and restore hope and dignity.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, ICMEI and Rotary E Club of Winter Haven. Hence said, “Humanitarianism is the highest expression of our concern for humanity. World Humanitarian Day gives us an opportunity to remember and honour those who dedicate their lives to helping others, often working in the most difficult circumstances.”
Dr. Marwah emphasised that humanity must remain at the centre of all development and social initiatives. “We need a world where compassion is stronger than hatred, dialogue is stronger than conflict and cooperation is stronger than division. Every individual can contribute to building such a world through small acts of kindness, service and responsibility,” he said.
He further observed that media, entertainment, art and culture have an important role in creating. Awareness about humanitarian issues and inspiring people to become more sensitive towards the needs and suffering of others.
Hence “Media has the power to influence minds and shape societies. We must use this powerful medium to promote peace, empathy, human dignity. Such as tolerance and global understanding. Our collective mission should be to create a culture of care where nobody is left behind,” Dr. Marwah added.
The World Peace Development and Research Foundation, supporting the observance, reiterated its philosophy of promoting “Love, Peace and Unity Through Art and Culture” and encouraged greater public participation in humanitarian and peace-building initiatives.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge to uphold human dignity, promote compassion and extend support to those in need. Such as reaffirming the commitment of ICMEI, Rotary E Club of Winter Haven and WPDRF to building a more peaceful, inclusive and humane world.
