ICMEI Congratulates Malaysia on Hari Merdeka; Dr. Sandeep Marwah Highlights Growing Cultural Cooperation

New Delhi: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extended its warmest congratulations to the Government and people of Malaysia on the auspicious occasion of Hari Merdeka, Malaysia’s Independence Day, celebrated on 31st August.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, conveyed his heartiest greetings and best wishes to H.E. Muzafar Shah Bin Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia to India, and to the people of Malaysia on this important national day. “On behalf of ICMEI and the entire fraternity of media, entertainment, art and culture, I extend my warmest congratulations to H.E. Muzafar Shah Bin Mustafa and the people of Malaysia on the occasion of Hari Merdeka. We wish Malaysia continued peace, prosperity, progress and success,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Highlighting the cordial relations between ICMEI and Malaysia, Dr. Marwah stated that the two sides have been working together to promote greater understanding and cooperation through art, culture, cinema, media, education and the creative industries. “Malaysia has been an important partner in our international cultural initiatives. Our association continues to grow, and we look forward to expanding this relationship through more meaningful programmes, cultural exchanges and professional collaborations between India and Malaysia,” Dr. Marwah added.

He emphasized that cinema, television, performing arts, fashion, literature, tourism, education and other creative disciplines provide enormous opportunities to further strengthen people-to-people relations between India and Malaysia. ICMEI has consistently promoted international cooperation through cultural diplomacy and has created numerous platforms for interaction among diplomats, filmmakers, artists, educators, media professionals and creative communities from across the world.

Dr. Marwah expressed his appreciation for the continued support and cooperation received from the Malaysian fraternity and reaffirmed ICMEI’s commitment to developing new initiatives that can further enhance India-Malaysia cultural relations.
