Indo–Sri Lanka Cultural Ties Celebrated on the 78th Independence Day of Sri Lanka. New Delhi, India: The 78th Independence Day of Sri Lanka was celebrated with great pride and diplomatic warmth at the High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Delhi, reflecting the enduring friendship between India and Sri Lanka.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair for the Indo Sri Lanka Film and Cultural Forum, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Her Excellency Mahishini Colonne, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India, on this historic and proud occasion.

The celebration was graced by the presence of Kirti Vardhan Singh, Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India, who attended as the Chief Guest. His presence underscored the strong diplomatic, environmental, and cultural cooperation shared by both nations.

Speaking to the press, Dr. Sandeep Marwah emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations.
