The well known Portugal born Director – Cinematographer Joao Ponces De Carvalho was invited by AAFT to conduct lectures for the
cinematography students and the budding documentary filmmakers at the school. The talented Director – Cinematographer who conducts classes in Leeds Metropolitan University in UK & Academia de Artes e Tecnologias, Lisbon Portugal was impressed with the training setup for films and TV at AAFT .

He urged the media persons to constantly update and add to their knowledge of the world around them by reading and watching movies and television programmes. Joao Ponces De Carvalho is an avid photographer too. He has published a book on photography which has been widely acclaimed. He has directed and shot the “Seven Seas” International Documentary on underwater marine life.
