A heavy weight seminar on the occasion of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, The 17th May, was organized at PHD Chamber of Commerce to highlight the issues suggested by the United Nation under Entertainment and Media Committee in association with Marwah Studios.
“This year on W T I Society day we are determined to harness the full potential of ICTs for the benefit of women and girls by eliminating gender disparities and empowering them to meet their goals and aspirations’ informed Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of Entertainment and Media Committee of PHD.
The seminar was inaugurated by powerful remarks by Sadhna Dixit Advisor to Dept of Telecommunication, Ministry of Communication and IT, Government of India, Stuti Kacker IAS Resident Commissioner Uttar Pradesh, Vimal Waklu Managing Director Telecommunication Consultants India Ltd Government of India Enterprise and Suman Jyoti Khaitan Senior Vice President of PHD.
A message by the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon was read by R.K.Singh Addl Director Asian School Of Media Studies followed by panel discussion where every one spoke their mind and extended suggestions.
The second part of the seminar had dynamic speakers like Rita Soni CEO NASSCOM Foundation, N.K.Goyal President (CMAI) Communication Multimedia and Infrastructure Association of India, Anushree Sinha Senior fellow (NCAER) National Council of Applied Economic Research, Dr. Hariom Srivastava President (WDF) World Development Foundation who all expressed their views.
The seminar was conducted by Sandeep Marwah and supported by Yogesh Srivastava Secretary E&M Committee.
