New Delhi: The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Government of India in association with NGO Beginning organized a workshop and seminar on entrepreneurship at Hotel Ashok to promote the young entrepreneur from eastern part of the country. The event was followed by an award function to encourage all those who have done enough for the eastern region. “It is very important to encourage all those who have done well for the society. I am honored to present these prestigious awards to dedicated Indians” said Inderesh Kumar Senior Leader of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sang. “You have to be over and above the level of cast, creed, religion, region and work for the society. We have created a special cell for Northern Region of India comprising of 8 states at our campus to promote them to our best. A dedicated NGO under the banner of YES-Young Energetic Society with a large membership of students from north east region, is also working at Gangtok” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studio. “We are here to support all those who are working in the direction of North East Region,” added A.M.Singh Joint Secretary, Ministry of DoNER, Government of India. The Ministry of DoNER is the only central ministry with a region-specific mandate. Its present remit is confined to the planning, execution and monitoring of development schemes and projects in the Northeast. The ministry’s vision is “to accelerate the pace of socio-economic development of the region.” said Dr. Jiterder Singh Minister for DoNER, Government of India.
