New Delhi: What do Elvis Presley, Pablo Picasso, Sir Charles Chaplin, Sir Michael Caine, Yul Brynner, Bob Hoskins and Illie Nastase have in common? They all belong to the Roma Community whose roots were discussed at ICCR’s International Roma Conference & Cultural Festival at Azad Bhawan. Sushma Swaraj the Minister for External Affairs, Government of India congratulated the delegations from Germany, France, Sweden, Spain, Turkey, Greece, Russia, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.

A high profiled delegation under the leadership of Dr. Ivan Damjanovic President of World Roma Organization and International Roma University established at Belgrade, Serbia visited New Delhi to celebrate the World Roma Day.
Dr. Shyam Singh Shashi Chancellor of the International Roma Cultural University announced the Doctorate of Literature for H.E. Sandeep Marwah and Ivan Damjanovic President of the University in the presence of large international audience presented him with University Honors.

H.E. Vladimir Maric Ambassador of Serbia congratulated Marwah for his efforts in uniting Romas scattered all over the World.
