Noida, India: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City and President of ICMEI, was honoured at the prestigious 14th Global Festival of Journalism& AVGC Noida 2026 held at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The honour was presented by senior journalist and social media expert Bengia Aung from Arunachal Pradesh in recognition of Dr. Marwah’s extraordinary achievements and unmatched contribution to the field of journalism.

A distinguished group of journalists from North East India, especially from Arunachal Pradesh, attended the ceremony and expressed deep appreciation for Dr. Marwah’s pioneering efforts in promoting journalism at national and international levels. Bengia Aung stated, “I could not find a single person who has done so much for the field of journalism. His vision and dedication have created history.”

Dr. Marwah has been instrumental in the declaration of 12th February as International Day of Journalism, initiated the first-ever Global Festival of Journalism which has now successfully reached its 14th edition, and established the renowned AAFT School of Journalism, regarded as one of the finest journalism institutions in the world.

Under his leadership, students are trained in a dynamic and vibrant environment with hands-on exposure to Radio, Television, Print Journalism, News Agencies, and Digital Media platforms. The ecosystem at Marwah Studios provides young journalists with practical industry experience, making it a unique hub of media excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah thanked Bengia Aung and the journalists from North East India for the honour and kind words. He emphasized the importance of responsible journalism in strengthening democracy and fostering global harmony. He reiterated his commitment to nurturing ethical journalism and empowering young media professionals through education and international collaboration.

The 14th Global Festival of Journalism once again highlighted Noida as a global center for media excellence and reinforced Dr. Marwah’s stature as a visionary leader in the world of journalism.
