United Nation has fixed 7th July as International Cooperative Day and 2012 has been declared as the Cooperative Year. The idea is to highlight the need and benefits of cooperative movement which has already a successful pattern of developing countries with large number of people’s cooperation.
“A large number of fake cooperative societies are betraying their depositors trust and their undesirable activities need to be checked without delay. The state govt. would soon amend the Maharashtra cooperative act to make it strict” said Prithiviraj Chauhan Chief Minister of Maharashtra during the International seminar on Cooperatives held at Shirdhi.
Present on the occasion Dr.Dinesh CEO of National Cooperative Union of India expressed his desire to promote cooperative trade in India for which he offered full cooperation from Government.
“It is now the duty of media to highlight this movement promoted by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru then the Prime Minister of India” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.
