“Strength lies in Unity, Prosperity increases in Unity. There is an European union, which has changed the face of Europe. If we are able to create an Asian Union, that will change the face of Asia in all fields: economic, social, strategic and finally in the political arena” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios as the opening remarks at the seminar on Asian Union at Noida Film City.
“In Europe they began with 6 countries; gradually they became 9, then 12 , then 15,then 27 Now more countries are waiting anxiously to join. In Asia, also we can begin with 5 or 6 countries. Others will follow automatically” added J.S.Saluja of Association of Asian Union.
“There will be a new environment of peace with vigor, and tremendous hope of prosperity. Peace and prosperity in Asia will make a remarkable contribution to peace and prosperity in the world. All Asians and all friends of Asia are invited to join this noble cause” said R.K.Singh Vice President Asian Education Group.
The “Association for Asian Union”(AAU) is an NGO devoted to the cause of peace and prosperity in the world by focusing on the cause of Asian unity. It was founded in 2001 by former Ambassador and Professor of Political Science, Dr. Beni Prasad Agarwal IFS and other like-minded intellectuals. The AAU has been organizing Conferences, Seminars etc and contacting Asian intellectuals and Governments to promote its goals. The AAU has decided to commemorate the 2nd of April as “Asian Unity Day” every year.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Nemi Singh Premi of International Human Rights Organization, D.K.Arya IPS Former Director General BSF, Prof. Anugyan Nag of Asian School of Communication, Dr. A.K.Arun Convener Bharat Bangladesh Pakistan People’s Forum, Wing Commander Bakshi of AAU and Dr J. Rajeshwar Rao IES of IHRO.
